Hilda R. Schlarb, 95, of 300 N. Washington Street, Wakarusa, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
Mrs. Schlarb was born on May 18, 1903, in Woodland, Ind., as the daughter of the late Christian and Mary Louise (Hensler) Stuber.
On Sept. 22, 1922, in St. John's United Church of Christ, Woodland, as Hilda Stuber, she married Glen M. Schlarb, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dudley Schlarb, on Aug. 4, 1996; and by a sister and two brothers.
Mrs. Schlarb is survived by a daughter, Betty Black of Centerville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nancy Henry of Mason, Ohio, Jerry Black of Kettering, Ohio, Brian Schlarb and Dale Schlarb, both of Woodland; three great-grandchildren; and by a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, and one hour before services at the church.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Kenneth Seiffertt officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Woodland.
