South Bend – Mrs. Grace M. Schlarb, 70, of Rt. 2, Bremen, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Golden Manor Nursing Home, Mishawaka. She was born in Bremen on Dec. 29, 1897 and lived in Madison Township 53 years.
She was married to Herman Schlarb on Dec. 29, 1914 in Plymouth. He died on March 15, 1960. Surviving are three sons, William and Keith, both of Wyatt, and Donald of Mishawaka; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruffner of Zeeland, Mich., and Mrs. Dorothy Helyer of Anaheim, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and three brothers, Arthur Keyser of Bremen, Earl Keyser of Dowagiac and George Keyser of Mountain Home, Ark. Mrs. Schlarb was a member of the United Church of Christ of Woodland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Robert Pleson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call in the Huff Funeral Home, Bremen, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday.
