Hermina C. Schipplock

Jan. 22, 1923 - Jan. 17, 2000

SOUTH BEND — Hermina C. Schipplock, 76, formerly of Plymouth area, and recently a resident of 20200 Baughman Court, South Bend, Ind., died Monday, January 17, 2000, at 7:30 a.m. in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, from complications following a stroke on Christmas Eve.

Hermina was born on January 22, 1923, in Cicero, Illinois. She was the daughter of Arthur and Marie A. Brueggeman Schipplock. She graduated from West High School with the class of 1941.

She first worked at Culver Military Academy and then did home nursing. She was very active with the Marshall County Red Cross and extremely involved with the Community Pantry.

Hermina enjoyed the outdoors, especially yard work. She loved children and enjoyed working for her church. She was a member of the House of Prayer, and had been a Sunday School teacher for 20 years.

Two sisters and a brother survive Hermina's death. They are: Mary Edle Schipplock, Marian Schipplock and Charles Schipplock, all of South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the services.

Pastor Kenneth Mendenhall, pastor of the Ironwood United Pentecostal Church, South Bend, Pastor Paul Cecrle, pastor of the Westside Apostolic Church, Rochester, Ind., and the Rev. Ronald Humphrey, pastor of the Plymouth House of Prayer, will officiate at Hermina's services. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the United Pentecostal House of Prayer, 12450 Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Plymouth.

Interment will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery, Culver, Ind.

Memorial gifts in Hermina's memory may be made to the Red Cross Community Pantry.
