John W. Scheibelhut

MISHAWAKA - John Walter ''Jack'' Scheibelhut, 64, of Lakewood, Colo., formerly of Mishawaka, died of natural causes Tuesday in Denver. Mr. Scheibelhut was an animal hospital inspector. He was born April 22, 1929, in Mishawaka. His wife, Mary Joan (Murdock) Scheibelhut, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Jill Scheibelhut and Joy Atencio, both of Denver; a son, Mark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Kronewitter of Michigan. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 360 and retired from the Naval Reserve.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, Lakewood. Burial will be in Mount Lindo Cemetery, Lakewood. Friends may call Thursday in Runyan-Stevenson-Capitol Mortuary, Lakewood, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2255 S. Oneida St., Denver, Colo. 80224.

Lakewood, Colo. – John “Jack” Walter Scheibelhut, 64, of Lakewood died Tuesday (Feb. 15, 1994) in Denver, Colo.

He was born April 22, 1929 in Mishawaka. He married Mary Murdock on Jan. 20, 1951 in Niles. She is deceased. Surviving are two daughters, Jill Scheibelhut and Joy Atencio, both of Denver; one son Mark Scheibelhut of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanette Kronewitter of Edwardsburg.

A rosary will be said at 7 tonight at Runyan-Stevenson-Capitol Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, 13992 W. Utah Ave. Burial will be in Mount Linde Cemetery.

Mr. Scheibelhut who had been a resident of the Edwardsburg area for 60 years, was an inspector who had worked at an animal hospital. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post 360. He was retired from the Naval reserve.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, Denver, Colo.
