Fermond J. Scheibelhut

MISHAWAKA - Fermond J. ''Mike'' Scheibelhut, 94, of Milburn Court, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday in his home after an illness. Mr. Scheibelhut retired in 1965 from Dodge Reliance after 30 years of service. He was born Sept. 25, 1900, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong resident. On Aug. 28, 1923, in Mishawaka, he married Marguerite Weber. She died March 14, 1972. Surviving is a companion, Lillian Connon of Mishawaka; two daughters, Marguerite Simmons of Milwaukee and Lois Hunt of Vienna, Va.; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Services will be at noon Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
