Paul M. Schalliol, 81, of 2143 Boulevard, Rochester, Ind., and formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at his residence on Aug. 6, at 9:30 p.m.
Mr. Schalliol was born May 10, 1915, in Mishawaka, Ind. He had lived in Washington, Ind., from 1948 until 1986 when he moved back to the South Bend area. He was married on Sept. 1, 1937, in Mishawaka, to Eleanor M. Raymond and she preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 1995.
He is survived by a son, James Schalliol, M.D. of Granger, Ind.; a daughter Linda Craney of Ivesdale, Ill.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert of Mishawaka, Herb of Denver, Colo., and Edgar of Rochester.
Mr. Schalliol was an assistant sales manager for Uniroyal until retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Elks, the Library Board and was a director Emeritus of NASCO, all of Washington, Ind. Mr. Schalliol served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Private family services will be held and there will be no visitation. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
