MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Nancy Schalliol, 89, of the Melrose Manor Nursing Home, died about 12:38 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home after a lengthy illness. She was born on Dec. 19, 1893 in Penn Township, and had been a lifetime resident of the area.

As Nancy Crofoot, she married Tod Schalliol in Mishawaka on May 20, 1914. He died in 1962. Surviving are a son Roger of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Albert (Esther) Beutter of Mishawaka and a brother, Alton Crofoot of Mishawaka. Two sons preceded her in death.

Private services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Harold L. Kratzat, pastor of the Zion Church of Christ in Woodland, officiating. Burial will be in Ferrisville Cemetery.
