Marian Jean Schalliol, 87, formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away following an illness at 3:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, at Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, Ind. She was born on Dec. 5, 1910, in Mishawaka, to Earl and Florence Shamo, who preceded her in death.

On June 24, 1937, she married Wilbur J. Schalliol in Mishawaka. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Shamo. She is survived by a son, John C. Schalliol of Mishawaka and a daughter, Ann L. Camblin of North Liberty, Ind. She is also survived by four grandchildren and a brother, James Shamo of LaPorte, Ind.

Mrs. Schalliol was a librarian for the Mishawaka Public Library, Children's Room. She was also a very active member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was an honorary member of the Puppeteers Guild.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka. The family has requested no flowers, with memorial contributions preferred to be given to the First United Methodist Church or to the Children's Room of the Mishawaka Public Library. Bubb Funeral Chapel North is in charge of the arrangements.
