LAKEVILLE - Jessie Herbert Schalliol, 66, of Lakeville, died at 4:25 a.m. today following a long illness. He was born in Wakarusa Jan. 17, 1903.

He was married Oct. 16, 1926 to Rema Esther Ranstead. She died Oct 7, 1968. Surviving are three sons, Donald of Elkhart, Richard of Lakeville and Merlin of South Bend; four daughters, Mrs. Mervin Syrycker of Wakarusa, Mrs. Hiram Hamilton of Elkhart, Mrs. Henry Webb of Mishawaka and Mrs. James Aker of Goshen; two brothers, Vernon of Wakarusa and Roscoe of Nappanee; three sisters, Mrs. Alva Hoover of Wyatt, Mrs. Irene Ehret of Lagrange and Mrs. Dora Federicks of Wakarusa; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Wakarusa with Dr. Ben Strohbehn officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa from 8 a.m. Thursday to 9:30 a.m. Friday.
