Miss Evelyn M. Schaefer

May 31, 1914 – December 24, 1968

Evelyn M. Schaefer, 54, of 104 E. Broadway, died at 6pm Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after a week’s illness.  She was a former society editor of the Hammond Times, and the Kenosha WI News.  She also had been employed at the News Time in the 1930’s

She was born May 31, 1941, in Indianapolis and had lived here six years coming form Hammond.  She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Caughey, of San Francisco and a half brother, Claude O’Donnell, of St Paul.

Services will be held at 10am Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Curtis, canon pastor of the Cathedral of St James officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
