Sister Mary Simeons CSC, died early this morning in St. Mary’s Convent, following an extended illness. She was born Johanna Elizabetha Schadler in Bavaria, Germany in 1905. She came to the United States in 1923 to enter the Sisters of the Holy Cross, received the habit in 1924, and made her profession of vows in 1929. During her community life she taught in Virginia, Michigan, and St. Mary’s and St. Joseph Schools in South Bend. Her most recent assignment was at Holy Cross School in South Bend. She moved to St. Mnary’s Convent last year, when she became ill.

Friends may call in St. Mary’s Convent parlor until services. Services will be at 6 a .m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus.
