GRANGER - Elbert C. "Sonny" Saylor Jr., 61, of Granger, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in his home surrounded by family. Sonny was born on June 25, 1946, in Louisville, KY, to Elbert C. and Ann (Kleier) Saylor.

On May 27, 1977, he married Brenda Thornsberry. Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Saylor of Granger; two sons, Troy (Denise) Saylor of Butler County, KY, and Terry Saylor of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Tracy Smith of Louisville, KY, and Mandy (Nathan) Morrett of Granger; six grandchildren, Ashley, Cory, Colin, Madison, Hunter and Jansen; and one great-granddaughter, Jaycee. He is also survived by his mother, Ann Wright of Louisville, KY; a brother, David (Linda) Saylor of Mt. Washington, KY; and a sister, Jean Proffitt of Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in the funeral home, with Rev. M. Gregory Timmons, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
