SOUTH BEND - Barbara H. Savoie, 70, of West North Shore Drive, formerly of Buchanan, died at 7:03 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Mrs. Savoie was born March 21, 1923, in Freeport, Ill., and lived in South Bend since 1992, coming from Buchanan. On April 14, 1951, in Chicago, as Barbara Sites, she married Leonard M. Savoie. He died Jan. 16, 1991. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Savoie of Chicago, Joan McClary of Glenview, Ill., and Carol Savoie of Libertyville, Ill; seven sons, Leonard of Wilton, Conn., Bob of Burlingame, Calif., Paul of Wisconsin, Donald of Nashville, Tenn., James of Chicago, John of New Haven, Conn., and William of South Korea; and 12 grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where a wake prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to University of Notre Dame Department of Accountancy, Notre Dame, Ind. 46556.
