SOUTH BEND - Richard C. Sausaman, 82, of South Bend passed away Wednesday morning in Southfield Village. Born January 4, 1928, to the late Arthur and Flora (Clover) Sausaman. On March 22, 1957, in South Bend he married the former Lucile A. Ziegert who survives along with his sister, Rose Ann Gaskill of Fort Wayne, IN. Richard was a retired Accountant. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1953 with his degree in Business. He was a member of the Blue Key fraternity of Business. Richard served in the United States Army of Occupation in Japan and Korea and was discharged in 1953. He loved Golf and fishing and the outdoors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 26th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Richard was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and Pastor Don Stuckwisch will officiate at services, and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Richard will be remembered as a kind and gentle person by those who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care 111 SunnybrookCt.
