NORTH LIBERTY - Lavon G. Sattelmaier, 90, of New Road, passed away at 3 p.m. Dec. 2nd in Walkerton Miller's Merry Manor after an extended illness. She was a homemaker. She was born Dec. 9, 1916, in Goshen, and had lived in North Liberty since 1953, coming from Centre Twp.

She was married Dec. 31, 1941, in South Bend, to John Sattelmaier, who passed away May 12, 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lillie (Mishler) Beachy, and by two sisters and five brothers. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, in the Maple Grove United Methodist Church at New and Maple Road. Officiating will be Michael Jenkins, pastor. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, and one hour before services in the church. Mrs. Sattelmaier was a member of the church and of the United Methodist Women. Published in the South Bend Tribune on 12/4/2007.
