SOUTH BEND Stanley J. Satkowski Sr.,
62, of 1211 W. Washington Avenue, suffered a heart attack while
at work in the Oliver Corporation Plant, and died at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday. Born in Warsaw, Poland, April 1, 1894, he came here from
that country in 1911.
On June 1, 1921 he married Hattie Aftowski,
who survives. He was employed in the forge shap of the Oliver
Corp. for 35 years. Also surviving are two daughter, Mrs. Clara Krill
and Mrs. Dorothy Kovach, both of South Bend; two sons,
Joseph Jachimiak, South Bend, and Stanley, Jr, Granger; a
brother, Marion, and a sister Bernice, both in Poland; 14
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the
Kaniewski and Son Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be held at 9
a.m. Friday in the chapel. Rev. Leo Thil ??? CSC, pastor of
St. Augustine Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. He was a member of South Bend Aerie 435,
Fraternal Order of Eagles.
