SOUTH BEND – Mrs. Hattie Satkowski,
of 1211 W. Washington Avenue, died at noon Thursday in Memorial
Hospital after an illness of one month. She was born in South
Bend May 5, 1890.
Her husband Stanley died in November 1956,
Survivors are two sons, Joseph Jachimiak and Stanley J. Satkowski;
two daughters, Mrs. Clara Krill and Dorothy Kavach;
15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of South Bend;
two brothers, Joseph Aftowski of South Bend, and John Aftowski of
Logansport; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Cool of South
Bend, and Mrs. Lucille Kroker of South Milwaukee, Wis.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday in
the Kaniewski and Son Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m.
Monday in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph
Horvath, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery.
