Bernice Brinley Sasse

June 12, 1905 - May 25, 1987

Bernice Brinley Sasse, 81, of Holiday FL, formerly of South Bend, died at 1:30am Monday at Tarpon (FL) Springs Hospital.  Mrs. Sasse was a former employee of Ketchan Bros & Kenady Inc. and Indiana Bell Telephone Co and had retired from Key West Insurance in Florida as a bookkeeper.

She was born June 12, 1905, in Elkhart, and lived in South Bend until the late 1950s.  She is survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Maybelle Adams of South Bend.  A son, John Jr, preceded her in death.

Services were at noon today at Thomas Dobies Funeral Home, Holiday.  Burial was in Florida.  Welsheimer Funeral Home handled arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
