Mrs. Catherine Sample

     Mrs. Catherine Sample, aged 91, of 805 South  Clinton Street, died
Friday evening in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, after  five days' illness. She
was born in Miami County, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1846, and came  here 58 years ago from
North Liberty, this county. Following the death of her  first husband, John
James, she married John Sample 49 years ago. He died some  time ago. surviving
are three children, Mrs. V. R. Roberts and Miss Josephine  James, South Bend,
and William James, Kaycie, Wyo. Friends may view the body in  the Forest G. Hay
funeral chapel, where last services will be held at 2 p.m.  Monday, Rev.
Edward Castle, of Twin Branch Christian church, officiating. Burial  will be in
city cemetery.
