Frank Salvador, 82, of Locust Road,
passed away at 9:35 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in his residence.
Mr. Salvador retired from Plumrose Foods
where he was a meat cutter. He was born on June 14, 1919, in
Plostine, Croatia, a former republic of Yugoslavia.
On Oct. 15, 1941, in Plostine, he married
Rose Salvador, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter,
Teresia (Joe) Miklaj of Lincolnwood, Ill.; four sons, Joe
(Marija) Salvador of Niles, Ill., Anton (Pam) Salvador of
Chicago, Ill., Carlo (Maria) Salvador of Harwood Heights, Ill.,
and George Salvador of South Bend, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by a
daughter, Marica Salvador; and by two sons, Ivica Salvador and
Franjo Salvador.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in St. Mary of the
Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph
Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in
the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a R osary
will be recited at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or
to the American Kidney Foundation.
