SOUTH BEND - Services for Leroy A. Sackman, 81, of Kent Lane, who died at 1:55 p.m. Friday at Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, after an illness, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, where Order of Eastern Star services will be at 6:30 with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Home of Franklin, Ind., or River Park United Methodist Church.

Mr. Sackman had been employed with Twin City Beauty Supply Co. as a salesman, retiring in 1986. He was born Nov. 29, 1913, in Edwardsburg, and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 2, 1935, in South Bend, he married Winifred Worsham. She survives with a son, Carl H. of Vicksburg, Mich.; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two nephews. He was a member of AARP, Demolay of Mishawaka, South Bend Chapter 2 Order of Eastern Star, the church, and Masonic Lodge 294 F & AM, and was a 32nd degree Mason with Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, .
