Kathryn J. “Katie” Rynearson, 68, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, in Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 28, 1937, in Hartville, OH, to Rev. John and Ida (Stutzman) Miller, and has lived in this area most of her life.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Katie always enjoyed being with friends and family. She was one of the founding ministers of Abundant Life Fellowship in South Bend and served as Organist for many years. Katie had a beautiful singing voice, and loved to sing for the Lord.

She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Pam and Dave Mendenhall of South Bend, Deb Munson (Mike Shannon) of Bedford, IN, and her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shirley Rynearson of Lakeville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Heath Mendenhall, Nick Rynearson, Kelsey Millard, Andy Millard, Josh Lewis and Jessica (Bud) Beavo; twin great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Alexa Lewis; two sisters, Betty (Ron) Huffman of Arlington, TX, and Judy (Richard) Bales of Anchorage, AK; and three brothers, David (Linda) Miller of Elkhart, Merv (Shirley) Miller and Raymond (Carol) Miller, both of Osceola, survive Katie as well.

Services celebrating the life of Katie Rynearson will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Don Francis will officiate.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park.
