Ruth Rymer

Ruth (Tolley) Rymer, 76, of South
Bend, Ind., died on Thursday afternoon, July 15, in her
residence.
Mrs. Rymer was born on Aug. 20, 1922, in
North Carolina, to Walter and Beulah (Tugh) Tolley.
The former Ruth Tolley married
Richard Rymer and resided with him in South Bend for a while
before moving to Grand Rapids, Mich., in 1969. Mr. and Mrs. Rymer
made South Bend their permanent home in 1990. Mrs. Rymer was a
dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a
member of the Temple Beth-El Sisterhood and was actively involved
with the keeping of the archives for Temple Beth-El. She was also
a former president of the Temple Emanuel Sisterhood while
residing in Grand Rapids. She is survived by her husband,
Richard; and two sons, Roger Allen (Ellen) Rymer of Elkhart,
Ind., and James Michael (Denise) Rymer of Lansing, Mich. She is
also survived by a grandson, Noah Rymer of Elkhart. Surviving
brothers include Edward Tolley of Dallas, Texas, Walter Tolley of
Charlestown, S.C., and George Tolley of Calabash, N.C.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday,
July 18, in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, Ind., with
the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home handling arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be made on behalf of Ruth Rymer to Temple
Beth-El.
