Sister M. Presentia CSC, 88, of St. Mary’s Convent died Sunday afternoon in the convent after a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 23, 1887 in Cormackstown, Ireland, as Katherine Ryan, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Aug. 28, 1906; was received as a novice on July 16, 1907; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1909. She was assigned to elementary and secordary schools in  Washing DC, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and New Jersey. She returned to St. Mary’s ti live in 1968.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call until services in the convent parlor where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today.
