May 12, 1925-May 26, 1996 SOUTH BEND – Doris M. Rutkowski, 71, of 1003 Trenton Place, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday in Gosehn General Hospital, after an illness. Mrs. Rutkowski was born May 12, 1925, in South Bend, and was a South Bend resident most of her life, going to New Mexico for eight years, before coming to Goshen in August, 1995. On June 21, 1947, in South Bend, she married Richard R. Rutkowski. He survives with two daughters, Mary Kay Beer of Elkhart and Lisa A. Jones of Cottage Grove, Minn.; a son, Dr. Richard Rutkowski of Bremen; nine grandchildren; a sister, Gladys VanDePutte of South Bend; and a brother, Jerry Olden of Scottsdale, Ariz. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen General Hospital Programs or to the church.
