SOUTH BEND - Thomas Rustman, 57,
passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in his
home. Tom was born on December 11, 1949, in Chicago, IL, to the
late Claus and Theora (Warren) Rustman. He was also
preceded in death by his brother, Claus Rustman.
On July 27, 1996, in South Bend, he married
Denise King. She survives along with eight children,
Kendra Rustman of Fulton, IN, Jill (Chuck Barna) King of South
Bend, Joy (Rob) Burt of South Bend, Jodi (Bob) Marvin
of South Bend, Jamie Keen (Matt Baumgartner) of
Mishawaka, Kraig Rustman of South Bend, Kal (Amy) Rustman of
South Bend and Eric (Karen) King of Granger, IN; 22
grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon (Ken) Grandt of
Arlington Heights, IL, and Rae Jean (Larry) Baker of Round
Lake, IL; and his brother, James (Sue) Rustman of Wheeling, IL.
Tom was the owner of West Winds and had
previously worked at Bendix and Allied Screw Products. He was a
member of American Legion Post 284 and was a past trustee. He
bravely served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He
loved to cook and spend time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 14,
from 2 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower
Road, South Bend. The funeral service will be held on Thursday,
Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow
at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be
