Sister M. Bethany CSC, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend after a prolonged illness. She was borne as Anne E. Russell in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1884; received the habit in 1885; and made her final vows in 1890. During her community life, she was stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah; Lancaster, Pa.; Baltimore; Morris, Ill.; Alexandria, Va.; and Washington DC.

A requiem high mass will be at 6 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Convent chapel, with burial in the community cemetery. Friends may call in the novitiate parlors.
