Frank Ruggieri, 84, of the Fountainview Nursing Home, died at 7
p.m. Tuesday in the home after an illness of several months. He
was retired from the former Oliver Corp., now the White Farm
Equipment Co.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1896, in Bocchigliero, Italy, and had
lived in South Bend for 55 years after coming from Italy. On July
4, 1925, in Italy, he married Rosina Fazio, who died in 1967.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Pridmore of
Wyoming, Mich., Mrs. Mary Doettcher and Mrs. Elvire Caron, both
of South Bend and Mrs. Diana J. Schofield of Danbury, Conn.; a
son, Nicolas J. of South Bend; 12 grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the
Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 33 N. Burial will be in St.
Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, the DAV Chapter
6, the White Farm Equipment Management Club, and was a World War
I army veteran.
