SOUTH BEND — Joseph H. Ruetz, 86, of Stanford, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Stanford University Hospital, after an illness. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Ruetz; a son, Joseph W.; three sisters, Genevieve Collins of Sierra Madre, Calif., Virginia Miller of Racine, Wis., and Marjorie Narducci of Cheshire, Conn; and three brothers, Clement Miller of Mishawaka, Edward Ruetz of South Bend and Robert Ruetz of Omaha, Neb. Memorial services will be Monday in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Palo Alto, Calif. McGann Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
