SOUTH BEND - Betty Jean (Lynn) Rudasics, 82, passed
away on December 14, 2007, at Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation
Center. Betty began life on January 17, 1925, in Zanesville,
Ohio. She was the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Zinc) Lynn
who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a
sister, Elizabeth; and a brother, Russel.
Betty graduated from Riley High School in
1943, and on September 7, 1946, was united in marriage with James
E. Rudasics, who survives. Other survivors include daughter, Hon.
Mary Rudasics Harper (Hon. David Chidester) of
Valparaiso; sons, Thomas J. (Debra) Rudasics, of St. Helena
Island, SC, Randall J. (Kathie) Rudasics, of Steamboat Springs,
CO, and Jeffrey E Rudasics of Granger. Also surviving is
grandson, James E. Harper of Washington, DC.
Following high school, Betty was employed in
the process engineering department of the Bendix Corporation. She
also engaged in voluntary roles with several not-for-profit
organizations. Her primary devotion was to her family and she
guided them through the journeys of life with wisdom, wit and
great love. Her hobbies included gardening and watching and
feeding the birds. For the last two decades she was able to spend
winters at her home on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she and
her husband Jim would avoid the cold Indiana winters and enjoy
the beauty, birds and flora of the Aloha State. Her willingness
to impart happiness and smiles to her family and friends will be
greatly missed.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Dec.
16, at 2:00 p.m. in McGann Hay Funerals/Cremations/Gatherings,
