SOUTH BEND - Adele L. Royer, born Adele Louise L'Berger, loving
mother of Carol Ann Royer, MD, and daughter of Josephine and Max
L'Berger, passed away at home after a long illness. She devoted
her life to her family and friends. No sacrifice was too great or
request too small. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Robert Henry Royer, 26 years ago. She still adored him, and he
was never forgotten. The Catholic Church was her life, and her
devotion to Mary was her strength. Her daughter survives her, as
well as her son-in-law, Eric C. Schmidt. His faithfulness to her
care, especially in her later years, was exemplary. She now rests
with her husband and friends in a better place. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at
Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Drive, South
Bend. Friends may visit an hour before at church or stay for a
luncheon. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland
Road, South Bend, is handling arrangements for the family. In
lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy on behalf of Adele may
be made to Our Lady of the Angelus Catholic Church, 9805 63rd
Drive, Rego Park, NY 11374; or to Little Flower Catholic Church.
Online condolences may be sent to the Royer family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
