Lyle E. Roush, 70, of 703 Harrison
St., Walkerton, Ind., passed away on Sunday, March 12, in
Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Lyle was born on March 12, 1930,
in North Liberty, Ind., the son of Claude and Lulu (Tinkey)
Roush, and lived in the area all of his life. On Nov. 27, 1954,
he married Marilyn L. Watts, who survives along with a
daughter, Jennifer Roush of Mishawaka, Ind.; two sons, Michael of
Pueblo, Colo., and Terry of Walkerton; a sister, Dorothy Ulbricht
of North Liberty; two brothers, Darrel and Richard, both of North
Liberty; and by four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
two sisters, Pearl and Lois; and by a brother, George. He was a
retired inspector for Bendix Corporation, South Bend, a U.S. Army
veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Orville Easterday
American Legion Post #365 of North Liberty, the North Liberty VFW
#1954, the DAV of Plymouth, Ind., and the Presbyterian Church of
Walkerton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. EST on Thursday, March 16, in the Presbyterian Church, 512 Georgia St., Walkerton, with Pastor John Birkner officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 15, in the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, and one hour prior to services on Thursday in the church. Military graveside services will be conducted by North Liberty American Legion and the VFW. Memorial contributions may be given to the Presbyterian Church.
