SOUTH BEND - Russell H. Ross, 84, of Fredricksburg Court, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:32 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind. Mr. Ross was born on June 13, 1914 in Wolcott, Ind., as the son of the late Ray and Ethel (Yoeman) Ross. Mr. Ross married the former Mary Eberhardt, who preceded him in June, 1978.

On June 14, 1980, in Mishawaka, he married the former Kathleen Hecker, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Judy (John) Rhoades of Safford, Ariz.; two sons, Terry (Jayne) Ross of Mishawaka and Doug (Nancy) Ross of Birmingham, Ala.; a step-son, Dennis (Mary Lou) Schwartz of Mishawaka; eleven grandchildren; eight-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Christman of Huntington, Ind.; and by two brothers, Ron Ross of Leesburg, Fla., and Ken Ross of Winter Springs, Fla.

Mr. Ross was employed by Dodge Manufacturing for 42 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. He was also a lifetime member of Eagles No. 2083 in Mishawaka, as well as a member of Dodge Quarter Century Club.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Rev. Daniel Motto will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
