WALKERTON - Huldah M. Ross, 82, of Miller's Merry Manor,
Walkerton, IN, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, in the nursing
home. Mrs. Ross was born May 1, 1926, in LaPorte County, IN, to
J.B. and Bertha (Robinson) Williams, and had lived
in the area most of her life. On August 25, 1945, in LaPorte
County, IN, she was married to Charles A. Ross, who preceded her
in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by
two stepbrothers, Charles and Franklin Champer. Survivors
include one son, Michael (Sandy) Ross Sr. of Walkerton; four
sisters, Henrietta (Joe) Hove of Fosston, MN, Annabelle
(George) Osborn of Inman, KS, Maxine (Red) Hochstetler
of Bremen and Emily (Phil) Kollar of South Bend; three
brothers, Bernie (Jeri) Williams of South Bend, George Williams
of LaPorte and Roy (Nedra) Williams of Walkerton; four
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ross was a former secretary for
Associates in Indiana and Texas. She was a former member of the
Dixie Walkers of Walkerton and the Senior Friends of Dallas,
Texas.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call Friday from noon EDT until the time of services in the funeral home.
