Edna Rosenberg of South Ironwood
Drive, South Bend, Indiana, died on Thursday evening, Feb. 22, in
the Regency Place Nursing Home. Edna was born in Brooklyn, New
York, to Lazar and Fannie (Shockett) Sanders. Edna
had lived in South Bend for over four years, coming from
Brooklyn, New York. She was also married in Brooklyn, New York,
in 1944, to Charles Rosenberg, who died in 1980.
Surviving is her son, Larry (Debbra)
Rosenberg of South Bend; a granddaughter, Tamara; a niece,
Marilyn Winograd of West Hartford, Connecticut; and a nephew,
George Polansky of Silver Springs, Maryland.
Edna's funeral services were at 12 noon on
Sunday, February 25, in the chapel of Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery.
Rabbi Yisrael Gettinger officiated. Burial followed services, and
there was no visitation. The Forest G. Hay Funeral Home was
trusted with her arrangements.
Edna was a member of many charitable and
civic organizations in Brooklyn, New York. Memorial contributions
may be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, P.O.
Box 79972, Baltimore, MD 21279; or to Hospice of St. Joseph
County.
