Josephine V. (Masi) Rosell, 71, of Colony
Court in Mishawaka, Ind. passed away at 7:10 a.m. surrounded by
her family in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, of
natural causes. Mrs. Rosell was born Nov. 18, 1931 in Indiana,
Pa. to Charles and Rosalie (Gallo) Masi.
In 1956, she married Paul J. Menhart
who preceded her in death. On April 8, 1978, she married Raymond
II. Rosell in South Bend. He survives. Also surviving is her son,
Paul R. Menhart and his wife Brenda of Buchanan, Mich.;
daughters, Rosalie Govaert and her husband Mike of New
Carlisle, Ind., and Joanne (Menhart) Holland and her
husband John of South Bend; step-sons, James L. Rosell of
Mishawaka and Mike Rosell of Birmingham, Ala. Surviving as well
are her seven grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Holland, Cody and
Jason Holland, Paul Michael Menhart, and Ryan and Kyle Govaert,
along with her brothers, Nicholas Masi of Ada, Mo., and Richard
Masi and his wife Jeannie of East Point, Mich., and a sister Rose
Quade of Roseville, Mich., and her nephew Tom Quade
of Roseville. Preceding her in death is a sister, Carmela
"Millie" Muccitelli.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.
today, Feb. 10, 2003 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind.
Rev. Joseph Emerth of the Worldwide Church of God will officiate
services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 in Chapel Hill Funeral
Home in Osceola, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens.
Mrs. Rosell was born in Pennsylvania, but
raised in the Bronx, N.Y. where she developed a deep passion for
New York City. Josephine was employed as a bindery inspector for
18 years with Mossberg & Co. Printing in South Bend before
her retirement 14 years ago. She, along with her husband were
members of the Worldwide Church of God in Elkhart. Mrs. Rosell
enjoyed growing flowers, baby-sitting for her grandchildren, and
traveling with her husband to New York and other areas of the
United States. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and
loved her.
