John David Rose

SOUTH BEND - John David Rose, 47, of South Bend, passed
away at 4:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 in his home. For the
past four years he owned and operated StraightEdge Painting and
was a plastic mold maker for years. He was born on March 22,
1960, in South Bend to Duane A. and Agnes (Archambeault)
Rose and was a lifelong resident.
John is survived by his companion and life's
partner of 27 years, Kathleen Rupert and her children,
Theresa (Lyman Dean) Rupert of South Bend, Tim (Lisa) Rupert and
Ron (Robin) Rupert, both of Mishawaka. Also surviving are his two
sisters, Sharon (Frank) Struck of Lakeville and Judy (Joe) Rose-Walley
of South Bend; and his brother, Robert Rose of Three Rivers, MI;
and Roberts's children, Jennifer Rose and Jonathon (Katie) Rose.
"Jerry Lee" his German Shepherd pup also survives. John
was a graduate of John Adams High School and a Journeyman Mold
Maker. He loved mushroom hunting, deer hunting and fishing. He
loved to vacation and fish at Twin Cedars Resort, Trout Lake, MI
in the Upper Peninsula. He was a member of Izaak Walton
Conservation Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Larry Baker, pastor of First Brethren Church, South Bend will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of John David Rose may be made to Izaak Walton Conservation Club or to First Brethren Church of South Bend.
