SOUTH BEND - Elsie M. Rose, 72, of 20531 Darden Road, died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday in Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home, after an illness.

Mrs. Rose was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Cartersburg, Ind. On Nov. 14, 1942, in Pensacola, Fla., as Elsie M. Archer, she married Donald R. Rose. He survives, with two daughters, Sheryl A. Dunn of South Bend and Donna M. Elia of North Liberty; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four brothers, John and Everet, both of Mooresville, Ind., Glendon of Rockville, Ind., and Rilus of St. Cloud, Fla.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
