Roland D. (Pa Rosie) Rosander Sr.,
75, of Forestbrook Ave., South Bend, Ind., Dec. 5 at 7:45 a.m. in
the Regency Place of South Bend. Roland was born on Sept. 8,
1927, in Plymouth, Ind., to Otto and Marie (Ozdek)
Rosander.
On Jan. 30, 1953, in South Bend he married
Patricia Ann Harkins and she survives. Also surviving are
two daughters, Terry (Robert Jr.) Caron and Deborah
Rosander, both of South Bend; a son, Ronald (Linda) Rosander Jr.
also of South Bend; four grandchildren, Kona Works, Dawn
(Gary) Smith, Robert (Lisa) Caron III and Kevin Tierney; three
great-grandchildren, Lexy Balok, Christina Moore
and Robert Caron IV, all of South Bend; two sisters, Phyllis Nozykowski
and Charlotte Smith; and three brothers, James (Shirley)
Rosander, Darwin Rosander and Loren (Delores) Rosander, all of
South Bend; along with seven nieces and nephew. He is preceded in
death by his parents and a sister, Arlene Shepherd. Roland
retired after 28 years from the Clay Township Fire Department as
a firefighter. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1954 and was
a member of the American Legion Post 50.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. today,
Dec. 7, at Morning Star funerals and Cremations, 21275 W.
Cleveland Road, South Bend. There will be no funeral service.
