SOUTH BEND - Services for Raymond W. Roney, 67, of East Eckman Street, who died at 11:45 p.m. Monday in his home, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Jude's Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Friends may call one hour before services in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's School or the Kidney Foundation.

Mr. Roney was a wine consultant and was employed for the National Wine and Spirits Co. Before that, he was a salesman for the Taylor Wine Co. He retired in 1979. He was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Philadelphia, and had resided in this area since 1979 coming from Indianapolis.

On Sept. 9, 1950, in Philadelphia, he married Gertrude M. Cleary. She survives with five daughters, Patricia DeVliegher, Dolores Speckman, Teresa Roney and Trudy Roney, all of Indianapolis, and Catherine Roney of Mishawaka; a son, Bernard of Granger; five grandchildren; and a brother, Bernard of West Chester, Pa.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Jude's Church where he was a eucharistic minister and lector.
