Mr. Zoltan L. Rolko, 62, of South
Edison Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an extended
illness at 8:33 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28th, in his residence. Mr.
Rolko was born on Sept. 13, 1938, in Budapest, Hungary, and had
resided in the Michiana area since 1957, coming from Budapest. He
retired in 1998 as a supervisor with Scott Brass, Inc., in
Mishawaka, Ind.
On May 10, 1975, in South Bend, he married
Sherley A. Griffith, who survives, with two daughters,
Michelle Y. Wren and Rayele M. Rolko, both of South Bend.
He is also survived by his mother, Emma Fovary, South
Bend; and a brother, Joseph Fovary, South Bend.
Mr. Rolko was an avid bowler being a
lifetime member of the American Bowling Congress, lifetime member
and past president of the South Bend and the State of Indiana
Bowling Associations, and was a Hall of Fame recipient for South
Bend Bowling and Indiana State Bowling Associations. Mr. Rolko
was also a member of St. Joseph County Police FOP Lodge #155,
Holy Family Catholic Church, and was a veteran of the Vietnam
era, serving in the U.S. Army.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2nd, in the Hanley & Sons
"Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West
Ireland Road/Indiana #23, South Bend. A funeral Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 3rd, in Holy Family
Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert McGuire officiating. Burial
will take place at Riverview Cemetery. The family requests that
all memorial contributions be made to the Holy Family Catholic
Church Building Fund.

extend heartfelt sympathy to the Rolko family.
