Michael P. Rohleder, 47, of Cottage
Grove Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died unexpectedly at 8:05 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in Saint Joseph Medical Center. Mike was
born July 28, 1954, in South Bend, to the late Paul G. and Mary
E. (Yena) Rohleder, and was a lifetime area resident.
On Nov. 23, 1978, in Highland, Ind., he
married Gail Arner, who survives. He is also survived by
one daughter, Robin G. Rohleder at home; and by his sister,
Carolyn A. (Brian) Straup of Austin, Texas.
Mike was employed as a structural engineer
at DLZ Engineering in South Bend. He was a graduate of LaSalle
High School and Purdue University where he received his bachelor
and master of science degrees in civil engineering. He was a
member of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church where he had been a
deacon and an elder, and was chairman of the missions committee.
He was also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, Jan. 4, in the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, with Rev.
Jack Volkers officiating. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie
Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in
the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street. Memorial
contributions may be made to Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, 1406
E. Ewing Avenue, South Bend, IN 46614.
