Sister M. Alfrida, CSC, aged 77
years, died yesterday morning at St. Mary’s following an
illness of 25 years with dropsy. Sister Alfrida, who was born
Anna Maria Roevenich was born in 1836 in Germany. She came
to this country and entered the community in 1875. She took the
habit in 1877 and made her final profession in 1879.
The funeral was held this morning at 8 o’clock at the chapel at St. Mary’s, Rev. Thomas Vangier officiatin. Burial was in the Community Cemetery.
