SOUTH BEND - Former South Bend, Mishawaka resident Katheryn
Adonis Roesch, 98, of Berrien Springs, MI, died at 1:16 p.m.
Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Old Farm Living Center, Berrien
Springs. Mrs. Roesch was born January 8, 1912, in Marion, IN, to
Edith (Moser) and Elias Hurst, and had lived most of her life in
the Michiana area. She is survived by two daughters, Mary
Fitterling-Putz (Kevin) of Lakeville, IN, and Brenda Ropp (Bill)
of Berrien Springs; two sons, Karl "Larry" Roesch
(Sharon) of Homestead, FL, and Robert "Bob" Roesch of
Davenport, IA; seven grandchildren, Anne Wiltsey (Jamie), Lisa
Medina (Victor), Scott Fitterling (April), Lori Gonzalez (Marco),
Julie Harmon (David), Sheila Spotts (Craig) and Heather Manning;
and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents, one sister, Madalyn McPherson and two brothers, Robert
and Gerald Hurst. Her greatest joy was spending time with her
children and grandchildren. She was an avid fan of crossword
puzzles, cooking shows and reading mystery novels, and was always
ready for a good game of checkers. She loved the family home at
the lake and spent many hours playing cards with her sister,
children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 9th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral
Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. James W. Campbell
officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday, March 8th, in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Borgess
