Richard E. Roempagel

August 30, 1911 – September 1, 1990

Richard E. Roempagel, 79, of 210 Meridian St., died at 4:22pm Saturday in Fountainview Place. Mr. Roempagel was a truck driver for the Mishawaka Dairy for 10 years, retiring in 1964. He also worked for the Mishawaka License Bureau for four years.

Born August 30, 1911, in LaPorte IN, he had lived in the area 42 years. On February 14, 1942, in South Bend, he married Florence M. Coy, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Ann Hutts of Elkhart; a son, Thomas E. of Jackson MO; six grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur Roempagel of South Bend. Mr. Roempagel was a WW II Army veteran.

Services will be at 1pm Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 202 N. Main St. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
