MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Marie Rodts, 92, of 531 West Eighth Street, died Monday afternoon in the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home, after an illness of on year. Born in Aeltre, Belgium on July 9, 1880, she came to Mishawaka from that city in 1908.

As Marie DeSmet she married August Rodts in Aeltre in February, 1908. He died in 1961. Surviving is a son, Adolph C. Rodts Sr. of Mishawaka; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today, all day Wednesday and until services Thursday in the DeVos Funeral Chapel where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. She was a member of the Senior Altar Society of St. Bavo’s.
