Madelyn Rodts, 70, of the Essex Nursing Home in South Bend, died Monday morning in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after a three-week illness. Born in this area Aug. 15, 1906, she had lived here nearly all he life. She lived at the Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, Ind. from Oct. 30, 1951 to September, 1974, when she was moved to the nursing home.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Ref. Robert Mahoney, pastor of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
