MISHAWAKA - Achiel A. “Archie” Rodts, 75, of 539 W. 8th Street, died about 2 p.m. Friday in St. Paul’s Health Care Center in South Bend, after an illness. He retired from Uniroyal plant in 1972 after 35 years of employment. He was born April 25, 1910 in Osceola, and was a lifetime resident.

On July 31, 1954 he married Elsa VanDePutte. She died Aug. 7, 1976. Survivors include several cousins.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hahn’s-DeVos Funeral Home. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Bavo’s parish and the BK Club.
