Mr. Gregorio Rodriguez, 75, of South Brookfield Street, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2001 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. He was born on April 28, 1926 in Weslaco, Texas to Casimiro Rodriguez and Ofelia (Vela), both preceding him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernesto Rodriguez.

On July 21, 1952 in New Carlisle, Ind., he married Candelaria Lopez, who survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Maria Elena (Michael) Balint, Rose Ann (Manuel) Gonzalez, Susie Ann (Tomas) Burgos, Janie Marie (Sammy Lee Urango) Rodriguez, Marlene Jane (Gregorio) Hernandez, Sandra Marie (Isaac) Zamarripa; eleven grandchildren, Terry Rodriguez, Roberto Gonzalez, Cindy Gonzalez, Adam Valdez, Brenda Valdez, Jacob Eric Urango, Luis Gregorio Hernandez, Marisela Hernandez, Lorena Uvalles, Michael Uvalles, and Danny Uvalles.

Mr. Rodriguez retired in 1988 from AM General after 21 years of employment. He was a parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Church, and a member of FOP #155.

Friends may family may call at the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, Ind., on Tuesday, July 17th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, South Bend on Wednesday, July 18th at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, Ind.
