Joan M. (Jontz) Rodick, 74, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on September 1, 2001, in Blake Medical Center, Bradenton. Mrs. Rodick retired from Miles Laboratories where she was an executive secretary. Joan was a long time member of the Unity Church of Peace and the American Legion Auxiliary #24 of Bradenton. She was born on April 25, 1927, in Mishawaka to Joseph and Mo Etta Jontz.

On October 2, 1963, in South Bend as Joan Jontz she married Michael S. Rodick who survives along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rodick was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary Rodick, and a sister, Kathryn Jontz.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2001, in the Unity Church of Peace, 905 E. Colfax. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue and one hour prior to services in the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Unity Church of Peace.
